Admit it

C'mon, admit it. If a little girl pressed her face into your cheek and said "Kiss? Happy! Happy! Happy! Thankyou Momma," wouldn't you play her stupid music like The Wiggles just to see her smile?

I am listening to this stuff, and it is just really a basic cross between the Cab Calloway (which she already has memorized--ok ok, she say's"Hey now!" when I walk to the stereo, by way of request I am guessing) and a few choice Beatles songs (beep-beep, beep-beep, yeah! Baby you can drive my car...) with basic children's stuff in the mix. Brilliant, these guys I am sure are laughing all the way to the bank. Marketing. Good ideas.

What about childrens music selections CD's that aren't vaguely mindrotting to their parents?

I'm still bitter about living through not one but TWO bouts of Barnie obsession.

And later it was the freaking SPICE Girls. *sob*

There's the "They Might Be Giants" album for kids "NO!". The girls really like Al Green and the Bare Naked Ladies. Lydia likes the Mamma Mia soundtrack and Dean Martin. She's also really gotten into this WWII broadcast of Bing Crosby she likes to listen to before bed. Me too. And then, there's the High School Musical soundtrack, Hannah Montana and the Cheetah Girls. See what you have to look forward to?
Claire likes Gwen Stefani and Avril Lavigne. It's only a matter of time before she gets into Green Day and the Killers.
Oh, I'm sorry, did you say CHILDRENS music? :) We blew through Raffi and Barney and the music from Bear in the Big Blue House is very easy on the ears.
